Cell only uses a very small amount of network bandwidth in order to retrieve science problems and send back results. The amount of data transmitted is equivalent to small text file.
However, HEWMEN Cell give you full control over your network usage. You can limit the maximum amount of network bandwidth used by the Cell app from "Expert Mode" in the "Settings" menu.
